Back on LVN school again.

The application dates for August are 1 April to 1 June, so I made perfect time in applying.

Even though I am Priority III right now, the way they look at the applicants is always Priority I and II first -- they pretty much get in, if the requirements are all met. And they look at Priority III by application date. The academic counselor told me that they haven't done very many interviews yet, so since I applied early, I have a good chance of being accepted.

Additionally, since I am taking Pharmacology and Anatomy & Physiology this summer, once I am in the classes in the first summer session (which will get Pharmacology and the first half of A&P) I can go to the counselors office to change my priority from III to II.

He advised that once I finish LVN school I should go on and do the transition course and go to RN school because I have a lot of ability -- given my grade-point average and ACT scores. This is something I'd been thinking about anyways, since I believe for psychiatric nursing you must be RN.

So, basically, I am either going to LVN school starting in August or starting in February. I really hope for August.

The only thing is, right now, I'm Priority III for acceptance because I have not yet taken Anatomy & Physiology or Pharmacology. However, I can take those classes in the summer sessions, so if I am able to apply for August I can take the necessary classes to be accepted.

I'm going to talk to the academic counselor tomorrow to find out everything else I'd need to know, and if it is too late or not for August.

I need some extra luck, for the visit tomorrow.
